We want our work with kids to be practical, measurable and sustainable. Our goal is to teach kids how to draw closer to God and be spiritually resilient as they mature into the leaders of the church. We want them to be disciples of Christ and have a heart that beats for spiritual relationship with a Savior. But what constructs will allow us to do that? Using the 8 Goals of Children's Ministry written by David Boyd, we will develop a system that sets you up to present a measurable outcome to parents. This easily replicated process will allow you to track the progress of any number of children as they progress through your predetermined task list. You will learn the 8 goals, receive a spreadsheet form that will allow you to enter your tasks and then track the progress of each student individually. Use this information for conversations with parents, pastors, board members, kids and team members so they can see the impact of the progress your kids are making.
